Privacy Policy

This page explains what data Print Bridge (this website, printbridge.bluetoothprinter.in) and our apps (Bluetooth Printer+, Simple Bluetooth Printer) collect, why, and how long it's kept. If anything here is unclear, contact us at techpuramtechnology@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account data (if you sign in)

Signing in uses Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In or an emailed magic link) - we receive your email address and a unique account identifier from Firebase/Google. We never see or store a password. Your API key is stored as a one-way hash (bcrypt) - we cannot recover your raw key ourselves; if it's lost, you have to regenerate it.

Paired device data

When you pair a phone (from the app's Print Bridge screen), we store a device name, a device-scoped authentication token, and - if you enable automatic order printing - a Firebase Cloud Messaging push token so we can deliver print jobs to that phone.

Print job content

Text, formatted receipt lines, order details, or an image/PDF you submit to print is stored only long enough to deliver it to your phone and confirm it printed, then removed as part of routine cleanup. We don't read, analyze, or use this content for anything other than delivering your print job.

The anonymous "Print now" flow

Using a 12-digit code to print without an account creates a temporary session in Firebase Realtime Database containing the code, the message/image you send, and (if you use the device picker) the names of Bluetooth printers visible to that phone. No account or email is involved. These sessions are deleted automatically - either when the phone's Print Bridge screen is closed, or by a daily server cleanup job that removes anything older than 5 days.

Diagnostic data

Standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path) for security and abuse prevention. The Android app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics-style crash reporting to understand feature usage and fix bugs - this is aggregate/technical data, not the content you print.

How we use it

• Authenticating you and identifying which devices/print jobs belong to your account
• Delivering print jobs to the correct paired phone, by any of the supported paths (push notification, or a live Realtime Database session for the anonymous flow)
• Enforcing the free-tier print limit and recognizing premium/paid accounts
• Detecting abuse (e.g. an API key or pairing code being used far beyond normal usage)
• Fixing bugs and understanding which features are actually used, via aggregate analytics

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service:

• Google Firebase - authentication, push notifications (FCM), and the Realtime Database used by the anonymous "Print now" flow
• Google AdMob - shows ads in the free tier of the Android app (not on this website); subject to Google's own advertising ID and privacy practices
• Google Play Billing - processes premium subscription payments; we never see your payment card details

How long we keep it

• Account and paired-device records: until you revoke a device or delete your account
• Print job content and status: a short rolling window after delivery, then removed
• Anonymous "Print now" sessions: closed immediately when the app's Print Bridge screen is closed, or automatically within 5 days otherwise
• Server access logs: a limited rolling retention window for security purposes

Your choices

• Revoke a paired device any time from the dashboard - it stops receiving jobs immediately
• Regenerate your API key any time - the old one stops working immediately
• Turn off automatic order-print notifications/sound from the app's Print Bridge screen
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing techpuramtechnology@gmail.com

Children's privacy

Print Bridge and our apps are business/utility tools not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
